Belagria is primarily the result of our love for the Thai Ridgeback breed.
From the moment the first female entered our lives, we have directed all the love we have for her into love for the breed to which she belongs. Our first female was imported from Russian “Et Tar-Menel” kennel, and the male was imported from the “Grand Angkor” kennel on Thailand.

About Us
We are located in Croatia, in Dalmatian settlement of Okrug Gornji. In beautiful, quiet environment right off the Adriatic coast, surrounded by vast forests, we fully enjoy the fresh air and everything a man needs to lead a happy and fulfilled life in coexistence with the dogs.
Our primary breeding goal is to get genetically healthy, beautiful specimens of the breed with excellent character for the family as well as for various sports that cynology offers. We invest a lot into their mental development from the earliest age, for them to be ready for a life with their new families.
Dogs are a part of our family, so we expect future owners to give our offspring the same love as we do, as well as the willingness to take the time to raise this demanding, but above all interesting, breed.
We will help you choose the dog whose character best suits your lifestyle. We will also try to dissuade you from the purchase if you are not absolutely sure this breed is for you. We require your honesty when you contact us because that way, we can answer many questions that you may freely ask. We are always at your disposal and you can rely on us at any time.

About the Breed
Loyal, independent, agile, tough, active and intelligent. These are all words you can expect to hear when you ask an owner to briefly describe to you the Thai Ridgeback breed.
They are excellent jumpers with a very pronounced survival instinct, but they are also loyal family dogs even though they are not recommended for owners who have no experience with dogs as they know how to impose their own will very easily in unprofessional hands.
The Thai Ridgeback is an independent thinker and will look for ways to outsmart you. They require a stable owner and constant training to preoccupy their thoughts. They favour only one person in the family whom they choose as their “leader”, but they can learn to tolerate and respect other family members. They have a very pronounced predatory instinct, and without proper upbringing you can easily lose control of the dog.
The Thai Ridgeback is an ancient primitive breed believed to date back 3,000 to 4,000 years ago, judging by the archaeological findings of drawings with the motif of people and dogs hunting.
These drawings show medium-sized dogs with raised ears and a high tail that forms an arch.
However, we can only claim with certainty that that the oldest written documents about the breed found in Thailand are 400 years old. Judging by the type of manuscripts, archaeologists have concluded that they date back to the reign of King Songthan of Ayutthaya (1611 to 1628).
